CONCEPT BRIEF
A family on the road is scavenging supplies from a recently abandon gas station. But soon realize why its abandon when a pair of T-rex's approach seeking shade from the sun.
always been a big fan of dinosaurs and wanted to do my own spin on the concept of dinosaurs in modern day. As a result I thought of the idea of dinosaurs in a gas station. There's a fun contrast with the knowledge that dinosaurs turned into oil.
For the setting and design of this piece I was inspired by my somewhat local dinosaur museum. A dry desert landscape where towns are miles apart from each other. I believe this setting would make a good story for survival a harsh isolated environment, with a deadly creature hunting you.
For the gas station I wanted it look beaten up, the kind you would find during long road trip. It was important for this gas station to look abandon, however not so broken down that person would skip it when in search for supplies.
